...you know, I think I need to save up for an actual drawing book. I mean one of the real-deal spiral bound things, not the sketchpads with paper glued in. The one I have is one of the latter, and after tearing out only ten pages in the past year that thing is already falling apart.
Well, I admit, part of it was from continuing to lug the thing around in a backpack all summer, but I digress.
So that's ONE of my goals for the big oh-ten. What are the others?
Well...read on, faithful...uhh...reader.

Number two: Get more involved with my art. Enter contests, go to anime cons, generally make myself known. After picking myself up from the MT forum fiasco, I have become determined once again to work with video games (be it Square Enix or whatever other company may happen to catch my fancy by the time I graduate high school.) Hell be damned if I start small doing landscapes or whatever, I'm an artist. I'll take whatever I have to do to get in and work my way up to the highly coveted spot of character and plot development! *_* That said, I have learned recently that though having a spot-on GPA in highschool can definitely be a bonus, there are indeed a few cases where an artist has gotten into their job simply by being good at what they do. Given how my grades have been slowly plummeting over the years, I may very well have to rely on this method to save my butt. Hence, get out more and show off my art.
...that, or work harder in school.
Number three: More time spent on personal projects. I'm making this one because I just recently noticed that I've been spending WAY less time on fanfics and art than I used to. My writer's group story has been sitting collecting dust for a particularly long time, poor thing...and that's the story I'm planning on PUBLISHING once I get done. (Right now, that means getting a second chapter done before I can progress.) At first I thought it might be really bad writer's block...
...till I took a step back and studied just how much time I was spending on Fanfic.net without actually writing anything.

So...yeah. That said, I'm gonna be backing off of roleplaying a bit. I'm not abandoning RP'ing entirely, I'll still be on. Just...not as much. The rest of the time left over from that will, hopefully, produce a steadier rate of chapter and art production than just one every few months.
Number four: BE MORE ASSERTIVE! Get out more! Join the school plays! Roam around on the forums! Make myself known!
And also, become more serious about being a mod on some of said forums. This one I'm starting to realize after having to deal with some problems on my KH forum on Fanfic regarding godmod and general poor conduct. Cracking down on this, I realize, will also mean quite possibly having to become a little more strict with some of my established fellow roleplayers and friends, the majority of which are actually quite good and willing to bend a little in order to keep a fair roleplay running. My hope for this is that in return, the quality of the roleplaying itself will become much better as people put more effort into posting and creating a storyline, or several, that they adhere to instead of just running around every which way and wreaking havoc by trying to rush in every other post during what (sometimes obviously) SHOULD be a private moment between two other characters. Man is the time I've had to try and get somebody to wrap something up or stop doing something 'cause they were delaying us from reaching the next plot we had planned. Yeesh. Silly Prinnies.

Side note on the assertive part: That, and I figured I should get into acting as a side hobby. XD The last play I was in was "Once Upon a Matress" at the close of my freshman year, and I want to try and get roles in the future that are larger than just BG chorus. ^_^
~ ~ ~
Well, there you have it. My goals for the new year. I'll probably have more to say on that later. For now, though, I should really get my butt back to work on this New Year's oneshot for "Dawn Guardians."
((Yes, Sanngot, you just may see something soon.

Then you can prove that I have indeed been working this whole time, not just grinding levels on PMD Sky.

))
